Damn, that’d be the best FWD winter beater ever.

450 hp to those bitty front wheels? Expensive way to commit suicide, isn’t it?

converted to RWD, so maybe not.

yeah, I agree that’s kind of a drawback, but if you’re wanting a drag strip bracket racer it might be a good setup.

Holy chassis flex, Batman! That is highly interesting. I also can’t imagine how the back half of that car copes with any part of that drive train under load. I’d love to see an under car picture at the back.

As an automatic transmission apologist I’m not so bothered by the transmission itself, assuming it shifts reasonably well, which is possible, but not guaranteed. What really bugs me is the actual shifter , which looks cheap parts bin crap (because it is). That would make me sad every time I got in the car.

And AC? I’m impressed.
This sounds like a lot of fun.

Looking at the brackets included in the rear end kit, I think my comment still stands. I was expecting to see something like a whole lot more triangulated brackets at the rear end and a set of ladder frame connectors running up the car to the front sub frame.
I’d be curious if the doors still open and close correctly after enough passes with sticky tires out back.

yeah - super clean build from the exterior. I’ll bet that unibody hatch is pretty stiff. All that weight on the nose and short wheel base is going to make it “fun” to drive.

He’s being very generous saying that thing makes 450hp and I mean very generous. Unibody hatches are normally very stiff anyway. You aren’t going to launching too hard on 215's.
